\tA bunion is a bump that occurs on the joint base of the big toe, it is an unnatural bony growth that forms when the big toe leans toward the second toe forcing the joint to grow larger.  Bunions can be genetic and overtime develops with arthritis and bunions.  It can form due to poor or weak foot structure or if one leg is longer than the other.  Over time the bunion can eventually change the framework of the frontal foot increasingly growing outwards.  Since shoes cannot accommodate for the large bunion growth, pressure is placed on the misaligned joint that will become inflamed and stiff.  Those that do a lot of standing or walking can also be susceptible.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
