Once a diagnosis has been reached, the physical therapist will create a management plan which can include daily exercises, education, manual therapy, manipulation, mobilization, and massage. Some mechanical devices or application of hot/cold packs may also be used. Physical therapists can also administer electric stimulation, sound waves, and radiation. There are many different methods and procedures used by practitioners.
