Rotator Cuff Tendonitis
Rotator cuff tendonitis is when the rotator cuff (shoulder joint) is inflamed. This usually occurs over time from overuse or repetitive improper motion in the rotator cuff. Those sports that have a high risk for rotator cuff tendonitis include tennis, swimming, and pitching. Early symptoms of rotator cuff tendonitis can subside with rest but advance stages may need physical therapy treatment to regain full function and reduce pain.
